The Daily Mirror are reporting that Everton have agreed a £4m deal with Leeds for Young Player of the Year Fabian Delph. The midfielder who broke into the Leeds 1st team this season is the David Moyes type capture; young, athletic and from the lower leagues.

However there has been a twist in the tale as Shaun Harvey, Leeds chief executive has stated that a deal has not been done;

He told the club’s website: “At this stage of the year speculation is always rife, although it’s never helpful.

“Despite the speculation, there have been no offers for Fab since the end of the season.”

Leeds chairman Ken Bates has repeatedly said that he will do all he can to make sure Delph remains at Elland Road.

We will have to see what develops in the weeks leading up to the big kickoff.
