Good morning Blues, here’s your daily digest of all things Everton from the past 24 hours.

Kone and Ovideo Continue Comebacks With Goals

Both Arune Kone and Bryan Ovideo continued their long comebacks from serious injuries with goals in last nights 3-2 U21 victory over Sunderland at Goodison. Conor McAleny scored the winning goal with just 2 minutes remaining for David Unsworth’s side.

Barkley Encouraged to Take Risks

Bobby has encouraged young Ross to continue to take risks in his pursuit of becoming a world class player. In what seemed like a thinly veiled slight at England manager Roy Hodgson, Bobby said:

“I encourage him to take risks,” said Martinez. “It’s not a problem if he loses the ball, it’s a problem if he doesn’t get on the ball. I really, really enjoy seeing Ross Barkley growing.

“He’s a young man and he is still working on his decision making but I thought he always made decisions today in the right areas and he’s allowed to take risks.”

More Transfer Guff

Apparently James McCarthy is off to Arsenal, Seamus is off to Chelsea and T-How is off to the MLS (despite saying he’s not in the summer). Chelsea are also going to cut short Atsu’s loan and send him to Sunderland whilst also sending us Mo Salah.

None of the above will happen of course.
