Good morning and welcome to our first breakfast update in a long time. In fact our first post at all in a long time.

This morning we cover potential transfers, injury news as well as a look forward to what we hope to be covering in the off season and pre season periods.

We seem to have been linked with almost every cheap midfielder in Europe during the past few weeks but one player who has definitely signed is Tom Cleverley. Tom who recently married a TOWIE star is to officially become an Everton player on July 1st.

Another player who seems almost certain to sign on a permanent basis is Gerard Deulofeu (does anyone really know how to pronounce that yet?) from Barcelona. A deal in the region of £2-3 million has been touted with various ‘get out of jail if he’s amazing’ clauses for Barca in the first two years of a 3 year deal. Obviously these clauses are there to keep the fee down for the Blues as well as save face for Barcelona, but rarely are they actually activated (how good would he have to be to get in that forward line!?!).

Other targets have been Aaron Lennon from Spurs (who now seem to value him at £8m) and Ragnar Klavan (who?!?) but apart from ‘red top’ speculation nothing concrete.

In the ‘outgoing’ column a few players are leaving at the end of their contracts such as Distin, Alacaraz and Green, but Everton are keen to tie up Garbutt to a new contact.

Others linked with moves away are pretty much the rest of the team. Lukaku to Man United is the latest but  there have also been links with John Stones to Utd too. Mirallas to Monaco seems the most likely outgoing transfer and I expect everyone else to still be wearing an Everton shirt once the window closes.

Injury News

This one was squeezed in at the last minute as John Stones has picked up a head injury that will keep him out of the first two U21 Euros. It’s not said to be serious and he should be fit to return after the first two games, so he’s obviously staying with the squad.

Future Plans

Whilst we have had somewhat of a sabbatical (and domain name change) for the past 5 months or so we are back and kicking for the run up to the new season. We are hoping to have legend interviews both audio and video and some new and promising writers joining the team.

We hope you will follow us along the journey.
