Everton are looking to complete the signing of Sam Byram from Leeds before the weekend according to the Daily Star (who quote another paper but we don’t read that rag).

The injury to Seamus Coleman seems to have pushed Everton into making a bid earlier than expected with a fee of £5 million being suggested.

“We just want to sell Byram because he wants to leave,” Cellino said last week.

“It is better to lose him now. It is less painful for the club.”

Despite only playing at Championship level Byram has impressed and is said to be being chased by a number of clubs from the Premier League, including Liverpool, Norwich, West Brom and West Ham.

What are your thoughts Blues? Is he good enough?
